the negative first: its a bit heavy. that said i couldnt be happier with this boat! I use it primarily in the bay and coastal waters of San Diego and it is very stable, fast and comfortable. great value for the money. spend a little extra on a nice paddle (you get what you pay for)and enjoy your boating!

Decent boats overall. The manufacturer's 2nd issues on the two I ordered were minimal... minor wavers and edge finish issues on both. [...] The best add for these specific boats is the SmartTrack Rudder system, as the stock rudder system that was offered with these is fairly unimpressive. They track well enough with a bit of judicious loading and a more powerful/skilled paddler... though you'll eventually want a rudder due to the very flat hull contour from midships aft. Best of luck

    Pros:
    Very dry tracks well
    Cons:
    Stern drain poor place
    Best Uses:
    Good for fishing

I'm very happy with mine. Good in lakes, wide rivers, or the bay. Really nice with a rudder in wind or strong tide. I like the fact is is drier than other sit-on-tops. I had no problems "pimping it out" with electronics, however, not easy to mount stern light for night fishing. Also, drain plug would be better on the side than the stern, especially with rudder.
