This sweater is gorgeous! And looks just as good on women as men. Very warm, good-looking, gutsy wool that makes the cables stand out, zipper front. The color shown looks like undyed wool from a naturally brown animal. No polyester can compete with wool of this quality.

"Cheviot" is a breed of sheep, originating in the Cheviot Hills straddling the border between Scotland and England. My assumption is that "Mountain Cheviot" as a color is referring to the sheep's natural coloring, which is a tan or beige color.||http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Scottish_Cheviot_sheep.jpg
