    This sweater looks great on my husband. It is soft, warm and has a deep indigo color... better than the photo. CAUTIONARY OPINION: Do NOT follow the washing instructions that say you can wash in warm water and dry flat. While that is true, the sweater SMELLS TERRIBLE until it is completely dry and stunk up the whole house... like stinky wet dog. Or wet goat. Once dry, the smell is gone (barely discernable... I have a good nose), but we will be taking this one for dry cleaning. Perhaps this is true of all this type of wool as I've never owned something made of this before, but for those who are in the dark, thought I should mention. :)

    I'd been looking for sweaters like these since I lived in Europe many years ago when I always wore either Irish fisherman cable knits or Faroe Island sweaters. I tried an Aran fisherman's sweater from another comapny that cost well over $150, but it was so disappointing I sent it back for a refund. But these are of such excellent, consistent quality that I bought three of them in different colors, on sale for about the price of one substandard sweater from the other place; an incredible value. These sweaters are substantial and fit extremely well. They're warm and soft and look fabulous. If you like classic, nautical type sweaters they don't come any better than these.
