I like the look and fit of this sweater. It is perfect under a leather jacket or heavy blazer. I find that it is best as an outdoor sweater. But, I have learned to my dismay that merino wool is the least forgiving of any wool. When it comes time to wash this sweater, NEVER put it in the washing machine even in the delicate cycle. The same holds true for the spin, no temperature cycle of the dryer. It's the agitation that will cause the fibers to contract and shrink the sweater, not so much the water temperature. And once that occurs the sweater can never be stretched out again. It's done. Finished. So, wash it by hand in cold water and be very gentle when squeezing out the excess water. Otherwise, you'll be like me with a beautiful doggy sweater.
