Closeouts. The understated refinement of a thick cable knit like that of Peregrine by J.G. Glover's Aran Knit sweater goes a long way in chilly winter. The luxurious merino wool looks dashing with a scarf and overcoat.

My husband is slimly built 6' 5" tall, so I'll normally order an XL to get some extra length in the arms and body for him, and live with extra looseness around the torso. However this sweater fit him so impossibly snug it was like it was a size S or M and not the stated XL. Too bad as the arm length was nicely long and the sweater looked to be quality made. This was the first in all the years of ordering though Sierra that we had to actually process a return.

I am 6'11 chest 42 waist 34. I ordered a Large and the body fits a little snug but still OK.... the sleeves are for people who can scratch their feet without bending their knees, though. Also the knit is a bit loose + shirt is shining through. I like Peregrine but this sweater is going back.

I liked the first Peregrine sweater I bought so much that one month later I was eyebaling this one (first one bought was a zip-up collar). I wasn't disappointed: this one is just as great as the other one! Soft enough to wear without an undershirt. It's a trim fit with longish arms, just like you see in the photo. Hand-washed, this sweater is going to last for many years. As for sizing, I bought a M and I'm 5'9" and 155 pounds. Every time I wear it SOMEONE comments on how handsome it looks!
