  • Question “What guage is the sweater?”
Asked on 7/30/2010 12:00:00 AM by Dan The Woodmaker from St. Pet Florida
    • Answer I'm not sure of the gauge but the sweater is very light in weight and soft and snuggly to the that of a soft baby blanket...certainly not the weight of the fisherman's sweater from back in the day (lol...late 70's). The knit stitching is very loose which could be a good thing if you're looking for something that doesn't look brand new.

    • Answer This sweater is made with medium-guage wool yarn - very good quality material...BUT it is a very loose knit, almost like crochet. It is a stretchy and open stitch , NOT a tight dense knit. It is warm as a layer but not heavy enough to block a chilly wind.
