Unfortunately the wool is very itchy, but the neckline is so high that nothing short of a turtleneck would be an appropriate underlayer. However the sweater was so bulky around the waistline that I wouldn't want to wear anything underneath it short of a camisole. The overall effect was dumpy and uncomfortable, so I returned it.

Beautiful rich navy color, non-itchy wool, nicely fashioned. BUT - the open weave means you *must* wear layer under, and if it's a light colored layer, breasts and belly really stand out. Also, sleeves shorten to bracelet length, even after sweater is wet and reshaped - just a really loose weave. Even though I got compliments on it, I am returning because the last two features make me self-conscious. I mean, if I *want* a shorter sleeved sweater that emphasizes my belly, I'll look for one (I don't).

Reviewed by mom from Winston-Salem on Tuesday, October 23, 2012This sweater is beautiful. It is made of a heavy wool like other glover sweaters but it has a more feminine shape and slighly dressier neck line. Although, I am not sure what I will wear under it b/c of the neckline.
