Slightly larger than my last headlamp but definitely seems more durable and like it will last quite a while. Haven't had a chance to really put it to the test yet but it is a great, basic headlamp at a fantastic price.

I bought this headlamp to supplement my other headlamp which uses 4AA batteries. This headlamp is compact and lightweight while still using common batteries rather than some oddball size you have to mail order to get a decent price on. I use it for any general task requiring a hands free light and not requiring all night run time. It might run all night, I haven't used it enough to comment on battery life, but I expect it's about typical for this type of light. It has a simple on/off switch, which is all I want. If it has any other lighting modes, I'm unaware of them and uninterested. Blinking headlamps have never made much sense to me, if I need light, then I need constant light. If I want to signal a friend without yelling, I can strobe the light with my hand. I don't run a tactical team, so sound free signaling isn't a big deal for me. I suspect it's just something they add to other lights so they can list it as a "feature" - that no one uses. All in all, a good quality light for a good price. I give it two thumbs up.
