seems like a fair tag line with some built in insurance.

Bought this to replace a Tikka 2 bought over a decade ago. The environmentalist in me is disappointed that I cannot just replace the strap, which is the only part of the original light that failed after a decade (elastic is done.)

So I do wish Petzl would sell replacement straps.

That said this light worked as well as the original (which is great) with a slight improvement in the design of how it opens to change batteries.

If I were to do this again though I will probably get the model with the red. I didn't think I needed it but we stayed in some shared accommodation where the light was distractingly bright to turn on in a shared bunk room.

But as a headlamp for the trail, this model rocks.

This is a simple headlamp and will get the job done. The blue/green light is nice in comparison to overly bright white light, which does not seem all that necessary or appropriate in the backcountry. I found the strap to be easily adjustable - maybe even the best I've had in a headlamp. The casing opened up on me two times on maiden voyage with lamp. I'm not entirely sure if it happened because I did not have it shut all the way, or if the battery casing is flimsy. However, since it happened two times, I'm leaning towards the latter explanation. More use will tell.

The multi-light settings is almost perfect, only lacking a red light option. The weight and feel of the lamp is perfect, angle adjustability is easy. I haven't tried it yet, but I can this will be an easy lamp to trail run with.

Bottom line: worth the sale price.
