A cotton developed in the Southwest of the U.S. (and now also grown in Peru), which has unusual firmness and strength. It is soft and lustrous, and drapes more naturally than other types of cotton. It is a cross between Sea Island Cotton and Egyptian Cotton, with fiber length averaging 1½”. The “Supima” certification means the product has been made exclusively of extra-long staple cotton grown by a member of the Supima Association of America.
