I use them for daily outdoor activities including horse riding, light hiking and farm work. They work well in all my boots and my gardening shoes, and are light enough for use in some everyday shoes. They are not heavy enough for extended hiking; mid-weight socks would be better. So far they have washed well without shrinkage, but I air dry my wool socks instead of using a dryer. The colors add a touch of fun to putting my boots on each morning. I have been using Point 6 socks for about 3 months now and have been very happy with the quality and durability of their socks.
