I bought these boots to wear over jeans. I liked the crackle leather look. They fit great and did not require breaking in. They were comfortable the first time I wore them. The toe box design allows plenty of room without crowding. Removable footbed allows full length custom orthotics to fit perfectly. The expandable tops work well over jeans, but they will be a bit sloppy with tights. The tread is slippery the first few wearings. I'm not sure they will grip in snow.

I have been on the hunt for a pair of boots that can go either casual or dressed-up for a couple of years now (my calves always get in the way), and I think I finally found them! They are almost a perfect fit, as they are a little bunchy around the ankle but then tight up at calf (can't wear with pants-just skirts and tights), BUT it is so hard to find something unique from the current cowgirl/pirate/equestrian look that I think its worth it to not have a 5-star fit. The leather is not super thick, but you can tell its authnetic. I really like the footbed, as I have a wide foot and am not a fan of heels/wedges. They have a slight Dansko fit and look. If you want something that looks different from the current trends, and is way comfortable, these boots could be it!

LOVED THESE BOOTS BUT UNFORTUNATELY THEY WILL NOT WORK DUE TO A VERY LARGE ANKLE SPACE. I TRIED DIFFERENT SOCKS BECAUSE THEY ARE EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE AND STYLISH BUT JUST FLOPPED AROUND.

The boots are even better looking than their picture, as someone with big feet and short legs I appreciate that the style of the foot makes my feet look smaller and the height of the heel and sole make my legs look longer, that makes them a winner in my wardrobe!

I love knee high boots and was looking for something comfortable, high quality and that would fit my large calves. These boots were advertised as leather but felt like plastic. I have plastic boots that feel like better quality than these!! Also the adjust a fit calf did not stretch wide enough for me. I'm a small woman, size 6 125 pounds, with athletic legs. I think the foot part of the boot would have been comfortable but because of the narrow calf and poor quality leather, I returned.
Question
“The listing says it has "Adjust-a-calf technology". What does that mean exactly? Can I adjust it somehow to fit tighter or looser on my calves?”
