Powder River Outfitters Yukon Down Vest - Hooded (For Men)

I camp about 30 nights a year, one weekend most every month year round. This vest filled a need for layering. On a -5 deg F morning in January I was warm. The hood seems small but came in handy at the ski slope. The zipper gets caught in the storm in flap during the first few inches of travel but can be easily removed. A few feathers stick out but not having owned down before, not sure it thats a problem. The cloth lined pockets are a nice touch when your hands are ungloved. The XL size fits just right on my 48" chest with just a shirt on. I think it would be restrictive if I tried to wear more clothing under the vest. The high collar can be beneficial for keeping your neck covered or get in the way of a cars seat belt. I was happy to have worn this vest during a Klondike Derby.

Is worn over fleece jacket in the Aleutians. Its warm and comfy.

This is a very cool vest, warm and nice looking with a western flair; however, the hood storage area behind neck/upper back seems to be a bit bulky and I could feel it at back of neck. Might need a little reorganizing of hood to improve this.

nice vest for the price. warm, but not too bulky makes a good middle layer when it's really cold, or a comfortable outer for warmer weather.
