Verified Buyer Reviewed by San Juan Fly Fisher from Colorado on Sunday, October 28, 2012I sent it back. I wanted to buy several for fly casting class use. Not a good rod to teach beginners with.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by myth from Billings, MT on Tuesday, August 7, 2012bought this rod to fix another powell rod I broke on the second cast. The six wt I own performs very well. The five wt broke, but was performing well, and plan to fix. I can fix the rod cheaper than the 100 dollars the company (powell rods) wants. The reels are not why I bought this rod, but will make good lenders to visitors. For the price can't go wrong.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by akschaefer from Eagle, CO on Thursday, June 7, 2012I bought this as an affordable, 4 piece rod to travel to and leave in China following a wedding. It traveled well but other than that it was hugely disappointing. First the reel was a right hand retrieve which was not advertised. Second, there as only about 30' of fly line on the reel. And lastly, the rod cast like a wet noodle. You get what you pay for I suppose.
