    Although I have not put a line through it for casting as trout season is not here yet it flexes well toward the tip rather than further down the rod. It is smooth, firm, but not too firm and not to wimpy either. Perfect. It appears well built too.

    I picked up this rod to fish larger fish in lakes and it worked very well. A basic rod, no fly holder, but plenty of backbone and handled 5 to 10 lb trout very well. Mid flex action. A friend tried it out and ended up buying one too.
