    For the price, very hard to beat the quality of this Powell rod. Loads up nicely with either 7wt or 8wt line. Would be nice if it had alignment dots, but not necessary. I used this for steelhead nymphing and it was terrific. Comes with a high quality rod sock and a nice black cordura rod tube.

    As a new fly fisherman on a fixed income I really appreciate the quality at such a low price. It seems to work as well as the much more expensive rods I've tried. It appears well made and casts very smoothly. I will be using it for bass fishing on local lakes. The reel is hard to get seated and to remove. A Rustoleum gold metallic leafing pen will add alignment dots in 5 minutes and then its perfect.
