This top runs true to size for prAna and the medium is a medium. It's yoga wear, it's supposed to fit close to the body or you will end up bare during your downward dog!

However, it might just be the fit of this top or the type of fabric as it is quite soft and stretchy. Not for high impact activities, but perfect for yoga! I am tall with a short, high waist and it fits great!
