Just what I was looking for.Any time I head into the wild,be it a day hike, hunting or fishing,I always carry certain emergency items. This pot will now replace the sierra cup I traditionally carried to boil water or melt snow. This pot now has a permanent place at the bottom of my daypack.

Exactly what I needed to brew up after a long bike ride or long trail run. Great for beverages or soups. Fast, efficient, and easy to handle. I keep it in the car trunk to support training and racing. Also great back up just in case the smaller pot hides out somewhere in the gear locker.

I bought this specifically for use with my woodgas burning SoloStove, a Bushbuddy clone. The stove, in its cloth bag along with a backup popcan alcohol stove, fits perfectly inside this Primus AluTech kettle, with room left over in the provided bag for a 4 oz. bottle of alcohol. This pot is compact and perfect for boiling water or cooking a meal for one or two. No need for expensive titanium cooking jewelry; hard anodized aluminum is just as tough and distributes stove heat more efficiently and evenly, and costs a whole lot less. The simple lid fits well and isn't designed to pretend to be a frypan or anything else but a lid. There are a few steam vent holes, and I drilled some small holes near the opposite perimeter to function as strainer holes for noodles, rice, or whatever. Very functional equipment.
