I bought this specifically for use with my woodgas burning SoloStove, a Bushbuddy clone. The stove, in its cloth bag along with a backup popcan alcohol stove, fits perfectly inside this Primus AluTech kettle, with room left over in the provided bag for a 4 oz. bottle of alcohol. This pot is compac...

This aluminum kettle/mug works well and has a metal lid with a handle that I feel is better than the silicone lid some other mugs have. I've not yet melted any silicone lid and do not see myself doing so but having a metal lid feels more secure.
I tried to store a 230 gram Primus fuel canister and a small stove inside but the space is not enough for both although it is plenty for just the canister. It will fit a 200 gram canister and the stove just fine though.

I had been looking for a lightweight aluminum pot for alpine climbing and mountaineering. This one is just about perfect, but for the anodizing which adds unnecessary weight. My food scale weighs it 0.2 oz heavier than advertised.
I didn't have a whisperlight stove or an MSR fuel Canister, but I was able to fit about half of my Nalgene in the kettle with room to spare on the sides. I think it should work out great for you.

If it is the same size as Jet Boil Fuel than it should fit.

I've owned a Whisperlite for decades, and have the 11 oz., 22 oz. & 33 oz. fuel bottles for the stove, as well. Although the pot looks to be large enough to contain either the 4 oz. or 8 oz. isobutane canisters (and maybe even the big 16 oz. ones, if you can find them), along with a small canister stove, it will definitely NOT be able to contain even the small 11 oz. MSR fuel bottle. And MY Whisperlite doesn't use fuel canisters...just the MSR fuel bottles. Get the difference in terminology?
