The design saves fuel; which more than compensates for the added weight of the great carry case that's included.

Great stove for Boy Scouts. Allows group cooking for 2-3 scouts, using the 'one-pot' cooking method. Very wide & stable base prevents tipping - a common problem among Scouts. Fuel efficiency is great - only one canister for a 3 day outing. Our Patrol purchased 3 units to feed all 9 Scouts on a backpack trip. The Scouts gave it high reviews - easy to use, quick boil, easy cleanup.

I didn't think this unit was compact nor durable enough for my purposes, emphasis on durable. If it were a bit more sturdy, I would have been glad to have it despite it's bulk, I like to do some good cooking on my hikes and don't mind trading a little weight for that. I returned this item.

It is great for morning coffee, and I've never seen a quicker boil. The center flame is concentrated for other pots, and you will experience sticking if you try to cook food at a simmer. Very stable platform and the integrated pots and windscreen are very good. Easy Start.

This a really a great product! I was very impressed at how easy it was to use. Stove lit on the first try thanks to the built-in ignition and I had 1.5 liters of boiling water in about 3.5 min. Also can be dialed down to a slow simmer -- great temperature control. I made Mac-n-Cheese to test it out. It cleaned in just a couple minutes with just a sponge and water. It's a little on the large size, but it's worth it to me for all the upside it has!

Obiously not a very compact design, however it's pretty light and saves on gas too, therefore saves even more weight
