We had to cook our own meals and our group boiled water faster for each meal than any other group. We didn't have to look for the matches, it's all right there. We used the windshield for one meal and didn't have to hide behind the rocks, instead we cooked on the rock in a more comfortable position. Great Buy!

Piezo ignition failed after half a dozen light-ups. This stove has a very poor fire pattern having it's nozzle oriented horizontally. Four legs are not better than three! In fact it is harder to stabilize this stove than my 3 legged Kovea. Stay away, or carry matches.

You won't find a better stove for the money. Very stable feet, pre heater tube, ignition and wind shield. The stove is big and stable enough for cooking with larger pots or pans. This is my second primus stove... I bought as a spare but it quickly became my #1 choice.

I WAS LOOKING FOR A TRUE MULTI-FUEL STOVE HEAD. ONE THAT WOULD WORK WITH THE STANDARD "COLEMAN" TYPE PROPANE CAMP TANK AND ONE THAT WORKED WITH THE MIXED, SMALL PRO/BUT MIX CANS. THIS WAS NOT IT... MY MISTAKE. I AM NOT EVEN SURE IF SUCH A DEVICE EXISTS. BUT IF YOU WANT A NICE LIGHT STOVE THIS LOOKS GOOD FOR THE PRO/BUT MIX STYLE SUPPLY.

I'm sure this was a fluke. Have had much luck with Primus in the past. Decided to take refund and buy locally, to insure I got one that worked properly.

It burns well and can be fueled on many alternative fuels. I did not like the way it worked with white gas--can't simmer and flame is not evenly distributed around the burning ring. No fire where the hose comes in and excessive fire on the opposite side. The pot was covered with soot which is not supposed to happen with white gas. Otherwise, great stove, lights well, burns well, fuel lasts a long time, compact, easy to clean. Fine for boiling water or making soups. Anything solid is hard to cook.

I bought 3 of these stoves for my son's boy scout troop. The stove is very stable and the flame adjustment is set out away from the flame on top of the fuel canister. An additional benifit of having the stove sit on the gound seperately from the canister is that we were able to set the fuel canister in a small bowl of warm water to boost the performance of a canister in low temperature without upsetting the stove.
