“I used this stove for the first time on a 6 day 4-person canoe trip in the Quetico. I love how durable this stove seems. It lit fairly easily and makes things hot...fast! Simmering is difficult, though. It is loud, but at least I could tell it was working. I like the metal fittings and fuel lines. It is a bit heavier than other stoves, but the fuel flexibility is great. I used white gas with no trouble. Among the concerns I found was that the o-ring on the pump tended to fall off when I took things apart. I had to be careful not to lose it. The diffuser plate would also come loose in the bag, so keep an eye on it. I was using the 1 liter fuel bottle, so the stove would actually run out of gas before the bottle. Use the smaller bottle to get to all the fuel in the bottle.”
