    Unlike another reviewer I had no problems with the lighter working at over 11,000 ft in the Sierra's. I just returned from a 6 day trip into the Sierra's and used the lighter daily to light my old SVEA III stove. Worked well in the snow and wind that I encountered.

    Took this lighter to a location at 11,500 ft and it absolutely wouldn't light. (Luckily I had an 89 cent lighter with me that would.) Couldn't even get it to light using an open flame. Works great at lower altitudes.
