Reviewed by listeningtotherain from Texas on Saturday, May 3, 2014This is a great little single AAA light with head strap set up. For the head strap set up, it is adequate for the home, construction, or moderate hiking/backpacking/camping use. I have not tried it with extreme temperatures and would not depend my life with this. but for normal use, it is more than appropriate. The flashlight only has one mode but is bright enough for the average use.
The best part is that you can get your favorite, more sophisticated single AAA flashlight and use the headband with that. It will be very flexible option and you can even have back up flashlight or use the flashlight in your pocket, and use it with the headband when the headlamp option is applicable.
Nutnfancy uses a Fenix headlamp band with a Foursevens CR123 powered flashlight. but he abuses them in extreme conditions. This Primus set up is great option for us average folks, and is much more affordable too.
I only wish the part of the head strap that connects to the flashlight is metal so it would be more durable. but so far this set up has not led me down.

of bracket depends on non-adjustable plastic ball and socket to maintain orientation of the light. Only good for very gentle in home use; peering inside a clock or model railroad engine. Light by itself adequate for in purse or handbag. But there are much better ones out there in your hardware or convenience store. hard to believe that this is from Primus.

Reviewed by Pack Time from Atlanta, GA on Thursday, September 19, 2013Not a bad little flash light - though tricky to know how to set it up and turn on and off. We've kept ours in the car and kitchen and love using it for small tasks we need some extra light for.

“I just purchased one of these lights from you, and I like its tiny size and light weight and bright light, but I am not sure I understand how to operate it. Should be simple, but....
It has a button on the back end. The button doesn't move much at all. It seems to turn the light on only when the two halves of the light body are loose, and the light is off. But you have to hold the button down to make it do that. When you tighten the two halves all the way, the light comes on and stays on.
It also seems odd that the two halves of the light have to be unscrewed part way for it to be off, when this light is supposed to be water resistant. A loosely screwed-together flashlight wouldn't be very water resistant, it seems to me.
Am I missing something here? It just doesn't seem right. I partly want to be sure I didn't get a defective light.
Thanks so much in advance for your help.
The button at back is not a on/off button. To turn this light on/off you twist the housing till it comes on, to turn it of you twist the housing till it goes off. There a o ring at the bottom of the threads which seals the light making water resistant. It stays sealed in the off and on position. To turn the light off you only need to turn the housing about 3/4 of a turn.
