the connection wore down after a while. Do to the fact that you screw the top to turn the light on, I guess it wears the metal connection down, needs to be a thicker metal that connects.

great light. waterproof, looks like it can take abuse. uses AA batteries. bright beam.

We bought 5 of these for where I work and are very happy with them.

I bought this flashlight to keep on my sailboat. It is very bright, with a flat light distribution, concentrated in the middle but with good illumination out toward the edge, unlike others that show uneven patterns from the filament or bulb glass. I like the fact that it is very rugged, waterproof for underwater use, and won't turn on accidentally in a pack or drawer. It would be nice to have a longer burn time, but it makes up for that by being so usefully bright. The wrist lanyard is nice to have, too.
