Used to a 3 cell task light (Black Diamond) so this is a bit heavy but it does so much more it is worth the extre weight Would not pay 100 dollars for it but for Sierras price it was a great Value. AT Less than half Price I am Very happy with it and would think anyone would be too.

Great headlamp for caving and camping. I was amazed by how far I could see in a huge dark cavern. High beam setting kills the battery life quick though. It is nice that it uses AAA batteries instead lithium batteries, so that I can use rechargeable batteries. I would definately recommend this headlamp!

I use this headlamp with rechargeable batteries so that there is no impact on the environment. It is a great light for using around the farm as well as for hiking and camping. It is good because it takes AA batteries and these can be rechargeable batteries.

i plan on using this for search and rescue and backpacking trips. it seems very bright. i like the compactness and light weight. durability and usability remain to be seen but i expect it will be excellent, i have had princeton tech products in the past and recommended them resulting in most of my friends being happy with them as well.

My favorite headlamp is the $300 Stenlight. This one is definitely more affordable. I have been actively caving since 1973, so I have trashed more than my share of lights. This one is bright, not too heavy, has long battery life, and can take all the abuses of a long caving trip.

I have purchased this product for an up coming caving trip. Although I have not used it under ground yet. My trials around the house and yard have produced positive results. I believe this will be a very adequate light for my intended purpose

The light is a great size, but it does not integrate well with your typical USAR helmet. As heavy as the Petzl light is, it has a solid attachment, on the Kiwi helmet. I am using this on a Swift-water helmet, and it works. Light is bright and easy to use . Great value for the price paid.

I just put this light through eight hours of moderate caving over the weekend. The light output is nice and the optional output modes gives you good control over the brightness/battery life balance. A couple of fairly minor cons: First, the battery pack is a bit bulky, and I found that I hit it on the ceiling a few times. Second, out of the box I had trouble getting the battery compartment to close all the way. One of the connectors was protruding just enough to grind on the opposite side of the case. I shaved about 1/16" off with my dremel tool, and it closed fine after that.
