Reviewed by Beendare from All over the west on Monday, April 22, 2013I have a handful of different headlamps with this being one.This one has excellent brightness and seeing out a long ways is not a problem but it is less of a wide angle as many of the multi led models. A rough comparison of this model to a 55lumen multi version; The 55 is practically worthless past 20 meters. This EOS really shines at that distance and much further. The spread in close with the EOS is narrowed so if you wanted wide angle performance at 2-8 meters the other multi led models would probably be a better bet though the EOS is much brighter right in front of you.

Reviewed by Hiker Joe T from NM on Sunday, March 17, 2013You can probably find the specs online, but at "low" it is constant/regulated for 50H, at "high" it is 1H. The total duration is about the same for all brightnesses (100-120H). High is pretty bright. Strap and adjustment seem fine. The actual product says "waterproof". Some people said they prefer a more diffuse light, I like a focused beam.
