I was able to function as well as if I had lights on. I wouldn't want to be looking at me while wearing it though because the lights are bright and can be blinding... but for use on the other end I say it works great.

This little guy definitely cranks out more bang for less $$$ than the competition. The light module itself is quick disconnect, which may be useful in some situations. Runs on 3 AAA's which are included.

Reviewed by Todd from the Deep South on Thursday, May 23, 2013This is NOT a waterproof lamp. There is NO gasket on the battery hatch, you can see the batt connecters through the gap. Is this a great around-the-house, car-camping or fair weather hiking lamp? YES! And for the price probably one of the best. Would I use it on a backcountry hike or as a piece of emergency equipment? NO. Princetontec makes good stuff, almost all if not all of it in the USA. I have this lamp, the remix and the EOS (waterproof to 3' depth) of their current offerings. I have had the aurora and Yukon as well as some of their squeeze lights in the past (~12yrs now).

He really wanted a excellent, reliable headlamp since we are going to Peru in the summer. However, we didn't want to fork out alot of money. This headlamp is awesome with the different settings and easy adjustable lamp.

Seems bright enough, will now need to see how long the batteries will last on full power. Good option for the price.
