This is a small, light weight product that I have used for setting survey stations while caving. I take my instrument measurements by siting on this light which can easily be set almost anywhere. I already have one, but this is a gift for a fellow caver.

Nice concept, would likely be a good back up or extra light on a headlamp or to clip anywhere for hands free lighting. Mine arrived with one dead battery. Replaced the batteries and still does not work. It is not worth the return postage to try for another. You may have better luck but I would not recommend a broken light with a dead battery.

An handy, small LED light that can be clipped to things - a pack strap, a tent strap or fabric edge, etc. The blink feature is a nice extra. This is a great 'just in case' light in addition to a headlamp

If you don't mind the weight to have a backup light, this stays somewhat out of the way on a headstrap, is not extremely dim, and can be pointed in one dimension. It is, however, seemingly unduly bulky -- I suspect this could be made less bulky through design, and perhaps brighter for the battery life with a current LED. If nobody else makes one and this one hasn't been updated, I'd recommend it since it's the only backup light on a strap that I've seen and that's a useful function. I'm dubious about weather-resistance as with most headlamps.

I use this light primarily to illuminate the point during cave surveys. It is also useful for a low light during breaks, such as eating lunch. It sits right on my primary headlamp strap, and is conveniently there when I need it.

We have a number of power outages every spring & summer when the storms come, and I plan to have this handy in addition to the flashlights. Secondly, this had been great for hands free lighting when troubleshooting on the back panels of electronics/appliances--they always seem to be in the dark corners of the rooms! The light is just a bit bulky on the forehead, but nevertheless seems to work out just fine.

Nicely packaged and manufactured but the brightness is very low. I have a Photon microlight which is 1/2 the size and weight and is 3-4X the brightness with widely adjustable beam. Costs more but honestly the bulb is so dim I just wouldn't even bother buying it. I gave it 2 stars because it really is a nicely made piece.

looks like this will be a great little back up light form caving and alpine climbing. ticked that it arrived with dead batteries.

After reading all the great reviews here I went and ordered one of these lights. Seemed a great deal especially for the price. However, mine, at least, is incredibly dim. I have a number of the Micro "Photon" lights. These teeny items are about 1/2 the size and weight of this Princeton. And, I am not exagerating, they are 3-4X as bright. I was really dissapointed. I am hoping that perhaps I just got one with bad batteries otherwise I have to say that I would NOT recomend buying this light even at 1/2 the closeout price. Really, it is as dim as most lights get when they are just about to lose all battery power. Oh well.
