Very versatile headlamp.

This is a great headlamp with excellent beam quality. The CR123A batteries are also really cheap on line and last much better than AAA or AAs. Just stick with a major brand. The choice between low and high settings on both the 3-LEDs and the much more powerful Maxbright LED make it excellent for both close up work and also when you need more power for distance, and the Maxbright really has good throw to the beam. Read the directions on switching between the modes......it's very easy once you try it. Holding down the button automatically toggles between the 3-LEDs and the Maxbright and then switch from low to high on that mode. After a second or so on any mode and then the next button press turns it off,. It couldn't be easier. I highly recommend this one.
