    The wire from the battery pack to the headlamp is way too long. I have not found a suitable means to stach the wire so it is out of the way. The single LED bulb is not bright enough & would prefer a brighter bulb. But the light is sufficient enough for backpacking & car camping.

    I use the lamp as a headlight for my bicycle. I will eventually also use it camping. It is very straightforward to use, without complicated multiple brightness settings. It has a separate battery pack that cannot be attached to the headstrap, which is somewhat inconvenient.

    Bottom Line:
    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I was unable to open the battery compartment. It came with a battery in it so I was able to try out the headlamp. Unfortunately the small rubber depression switch was so shallow and difficult to push that I could not do so while the light was on my head. I returned the light unused.
