I think these may have been seconds rather than closeouts. The inner liner is made out of two pieces of fabric that are exactly the same--two "front" pieces. Not having enough fabric in the back to accommodate the rear has the effect of giving one a serious "wedgie". Perhaps this was only a problem with the pair/color I got, but seriously--do not recommend this at all, unless you plan on removing the liner. (The did cost little enough with the discount I got that they weren't worth shipping back, so this is what I ended up doing.)

...but my look has certainly improved. At closeout prices, these were a no-brainer. Fit great, look better. And plenty of pockets which (attention manufacturers), guys love.

these trunks are pretty schwag. On first wearing one of the front tie eyelets broke loose. While on the subject of the front tie, this product would benefit if it was a drawstring instead to allow it to be tightly cinched around the waist. Perhaps it's my body type but they seem lower cut than normal as more often than not I give off a northern exposure of several crack inches every time I emerge from the water...and no one wants to see that, believe me.

Nice boardshorts for the money. Read other reviews (for other boardshorts, but looked like the same manufacturer) and ordered the largest 2XL size. Even though I normally wear a L to XL I got the 2XL after reading that the inner mesh lining was small for the sizes. Glad I did. The 2XL is perfect.
