Warm to about 20-25 deg.

Mainly use to walk the dogs or when going out. Above 20 degrees F is warm enough but needs a sweater if below that. The down does not cover the wrists having a knit sleve at the bottom works alright with long gloves not so well with short. May make a good XC ski jacket but have not tried it for that yet. Could use an inside pocket.

Living in the Aleutians of Alaska, we have very windy and cold weather. On these days the down is just perfect to keep toasty warm. I ordered the Emerald and it is actually a beautiful turquoise and very trendy!

I waited until after our skiing trip to Steamboat to write my review. I bought 3 of these coats for my husband and 2 boys. They were great!!! The boys even took them off while snowboarding beacuse they got hot and it was between 0 and 15 degrees (We also purchased the Kenyon Expedition weight long underwear). For travel, I was able to get all 3 jackets into 1 stuff sack.

I was looking specifically for a vest that would be really warm without being too bulky or too outdoorsy-looking. (Read: I love North Face products, but I love them in extreme weather - not necessarily in California winter streetwear situations.) This vest is pretty fashion-forward and really warm with a super soft fabric, and it's not as puffy as some other vests. Sizing is true to size. It doesn't have the features of a true outdoors brand (North Face) - no double-taped seams, no stow pocket, no zipper pockets. This is all right with me, as I didn't get this for a slope. But if you want a vest for snowboarding or some other sport, you're best off with North Face or Patagonia, etc - i.e. a brand that specifically designs for activity rather than fashion. That being said, I love this vest, and the price was fantastic. It's not as warm as the North Face Nuptse vest, but of course that vest is a 700 fill. Then again, putting a North Face fleece underneath the vest and you're nice and toasty. Great vest!

As Someone that grew up high in the Colorado rockies, I learned years ago about quality outdoor clothing. This jacket fits the bill. Warm, comfortable, and an excellent fit. The only minus is the patch on the chest, which I carefully removed.

I was very dissappointed in this jacket. I am a M/L and I ordered the large and it was more like a youth large. I even rechecked my order to see if I had ordered a youth by mistake. Very nice looking but sized very poorly

Great warmth. Major drawbacks for me: no inside pockets, no hood, outside pockets don't zip and exposed cloth wrist cuffs--if they get wet, you're wet.

this is a fashion jacket for young women 17-25 yr olds. If you are looking for a jacket to protect you from cold weatherr or rugged terrain wear this would not be appropriate.
