These are keepers. Puma makes a good knife and this one does not fall short. Comes sharp, a little stropping and its razor sharp! Make great presents!

There are a number of PUMA long time fans that have seen the SGB product line as missing the mark when comparing to their normal higher line products. When this beauty arrived it was a delight to behold the design and fit/finish quality. Sierra Trading Post did a professional job of packing, sent a first quality knife (box also as new), and provided this at a low price point. Everybody ought to have a Bobcat for either EDC or as a knife collection box queen (yes, I think it is that nice). Should you be looking for a mid weight folder with very dark Pakka "wood" scales/handsome stag horn inlays with a superb proofed German blade that opens slick and locks tight then this knife will more than satisfy. There are no criticisms to offer. A winner....a keeper. Thanks again to STP for making good values like this happen.

I was skeptical of this knife. Chinese assembled, and wood handles tend to shrink around the steel frame. But, since the blade is Puma Germany, I decided to take a chance. I'm very glad I did. The craftsmanship of the handles is great, and of course the blade is superb. Razor sharp. I'm very pleased and will get another as a gift. Great value.

These German-bladed, Chinese-assembled blades can be a bit hit or miss in their quality. This one was a hit. A good-looking, pocket-folder, defense or utility knife. It came sharp and functions smoothly.

Though the description says this is a spring assist opening knife, it is not. I confirmed this at the Puma website before ordering. The buyer should be aware of this. However, this is not a major problem since it opens easily with one hand and if you just start opening it will flip open easily with a flick of the wrist.

About Puma Knife Company

Johann Wilhelm Lauterjung started forging Puma knives in 1769 just outside Solingen, a city in western Germany that has been a hub of fine German blacksmithing and knife-making for more than 1000 years. Based in Lenexa, Kansas, Puma Knife Company USA has been the North American distributor of Puma knives since 2009. After nearly two and a half centuries, Puma knife blades are still forged in Germany using only the highest-quality steel. In addition, every Puma knife blade is tested by a Rockwell hardness tester before being shipped to the manufacturer to ensure a superior product.
