Pros:
DWR, Lightweight, Pockets
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I was looking for a pair of lightweight running shorts with hand pockets and a secure pocket to wear over compression shorts. I have never found a built-in liner in a pair of running shorts that didn't chafe, so I always cut that out. I usually run in mesh shorts, but I wanted something with the same lightweight material as racing shorts, but longer. I am 6' 155lbs, and typically wear a medium. This medium fit exactly as it should.
I run up and down mountains, so I wanted a pair of shorts that hit me just below mid-thigh. That makes running up easier, but with enough coverage to battle frequent wind and rain on ridgelines. The shorts say they have a DWR coating, but that hasn't been tested yet. I wanted the pockets, to be able to take on and off gloves, headbands, and arm sleeves as weather dictates, and these are large enough to hold those items. The hand pockets are mesh-lined so they drain in the event of rain, and one has a small internal velcro-closure pocket as well.
These shorts fit all my criteria.
