Closeouts. Once you've worn Acorn's V-neck booties, you'll never look at slippers the same way. Made of luxurious, cloud-soft Australian sheepskin, these booties are also breathable and naturally moisturizing.

I have had several pairs of Acorn sheepskins booties myself and have bought a half dozen more for friends and relatives. This is my first pair of this style, and I'm uncertain whether or not I'll keep them. They are more than satisfactory for warmth...the warmest I've had, a true delight for the tootsies. However, the workmanship is rough. So I'd recommend them unconditionally for practical reasons but not for aesthetic.

I had pair of sheepskin booties that lasted for more than 10 years and expected the same high quality and durability from Acorn because these are not inexpensive. They are very comfortable and keep your feet warm but in less than 2 months of indoor use, the heels of the sole wore through. Upon closer examination, the sole is made of a relatively thin layer of rubber which obviously cannot withstand normal wear. I have hardwood and carpet flooring in the house and they can hardly be considered abrasive surface. I am very disappointed in the quality and the design. Sierra Trading Post accepted the return as defective product and shipped me a new pair free of charge. Unfortunately I do not expect the new pair to fare any better. Acorn should have equipped these booties with soles of sturdier material.

gave these a lower rating mainly because they run small, and I had to do a bit of repair to the one slipper back. Other than that, they are wonderfully warm, and do the best thing--protect my ankles from cold, too. I love the bottoms--enough to take the dog out to the run, if need be.

Toasty warm and nice cushy soles. Strong enough to walk a short distance to the mailbox, etc. but don't want to get the sheepskin wet or as with all leathers it will stain. I'm very happy with these slippers.

I agree, and who knows why. At least in January 2012, L is 8-9.

Dear Anonymous: Foot size is so individual and that's why there are different answers to the same question. I am a 9-C and sometimes a 9-1/2 size. I purchased an 8-9 size Acorn bootie. It was slightly snug but they will stretch. If you have a wider foot or if you have corns, bunions, or swollen bones and such, then you probably will need a larger size. Alternatively, get both sizes and see which one fits.

“If your shoe size varies between 7 1/2 and 8, but usually is an 8, should you get a Medium or Large?”
Asked on 11/30/2011 12:00:00 AM by Joy from Unknown
Answer
According to our fit models the Acorn V-Neck Booties do run true to size. I would recommend order the size you normally do. If you usually wear a size 8, that is your best bet.

Question
“Will the size L (8-9) be roomy enough for a size 10 Med. foot? My wicked good slippers were sloppy after wearing for 3 yrs. (the shearling stretched out) yet, I dont want squished toes! What do you recommend for size?”
Asked on 10/27/2011 12:00:00 AM by Pat from Roanoke, VA
Answer
I would suggest the XL, which fits a 9.5-10.5. I don't think you'd be able to fit into the L without completely squishing your toes.
Answered on 10/31/2011 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from None
Answer
Not in my experience. The L (8-9) was way too narrow for my size 8.5 foot. The length may be OK but unless you have a super-narrow foot, I think you're out of luck.

Question
“What size would I buy if I wear a 8.5 shoe? Sizing is not very clear.”
Asked on 10/21/2011 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from Unknown
Answer
A size 8.5 would wear a large. If you hoover over the size letters with your mouse cursor, a small box will pop up with equivalent number sizes.
