I ordered a size large in these rain pants in the hope that I would be able to layer warmer pants underneath. I love the way they fit! They ride just slightly below the waist, which is a rare find. I am 5'8" and 135lbs and these pants are a bit long, but not so much that I can't just turn them up a ... Read More

These rain pants are perfect. I had ordered a size medium & they fit me perfectly but then I couldn't get them on over other pants, so I sent them back & got a large. The large works great. They fit over any pants I might be wearing. They are adjustable at the waist & at the ankles, which is wonderful. Totally happy with my purchase.

A little long in the leg but otherwise a nice pant

Pants run kind of small so i had to order larger than I usually get. Wish they had zippers over the ankle area to get over muddy boots easier. They are definitely waterproof. They are defiantly sold for an affordable price.

i am disappointed by the poor construction and substandard fabric. I don't know if they are waterproof because I didn't use them in the rain. They are vpbeing returned!

  • Question “What is the waterproof rating for these pants”

Asked on 3/4/2016 8:19:33 PM by Lindsey from Baltimore, MD
    • Answer I can't answer that. They are nice lightweight pants, the only drawback being that there is no accommodation for opening the ankle wider to get them over shoes or boots.I have only used them in moderate rain.Nice and dry. They pack down amazingly small and light. For serious rain,I have a cycling raincoat with pit zips by Showers Pass. The sturdiness of these pants is nothing like my Showers Pass jacket. But I wouldn't take a Showers Pass jacket backpacking-too bulky.

    • Answer There is not a waterproof rating listed on this item.

    • Answer I guess it would depend on how big your boots are. Honestly I haven't tried that. You might want to order a pair and investigate that issue.

    • Answer I cannot answer that question as I have not worn the pants yet except to try them on.

    • Answer No,you wouldn't be able to do that. They will accommodate your boots well at the ankle, but unfortunately you would have to remove your boots to put these pants on and off.

  • Question “Adjustable pant length is how long when lengthened?”

Asked on 12/30/2015 12:12:11 PM by Sarah from Vancouver BC
    • Answer I have the WS Tarragon Rain Pants, but there isn't really an adjustment to the length. The best I can tell you is the outside seam is 39", and the inseam is 31". The only adjustment to these pants is the waistband, and the ankle/cuff opening. These pants are
great for wind and rain protection.
Answered on 1/7/2016 3:22:06 PM by Donna@HB from Oregon
  • Question “What is the inseam measurement for the Large and the X-Large?”

Asked on 7/9/2015 8:38:15 AM by cmp from Illinois
    • Answer Not sure about the choices you mention. Maybe call customer service.
Answered on 5/22/2015 6:02:42 AM by RMBHC from Pittsburgh PA
    • Answer I have these pants, and I recall they only came in black when I ordered them, so I think it may be an error. I suggest you call them and place your order over the phone or get clarification from the store. NOTE: These pants are not breathable, so expect to use them only in cold weather or expect to sweat underneath! However, they ARE waterproof, light and packable.

    • Answer They have buttons at the bottom so that you can unsnap the buttons and should be able to fit them on over reasonable sized footwear, including most hiking boots. Cowboy and rodeo boots, not so sure.

    • Answer Yes - you can wear them over boots. The legs have sturdy push button on the end and a flare flap to widen the opening for over boots.

    • Answer They have three snaps at the bottom for different sizes. For me, when unsnapped it fits over my boots and I can snap tighter once they're on. I don't see why it would be too tight to pull over boots! However, it does not fully open the leg up.

  • Question “Do you know if these pants protect against stinging nettles?”

Asked on 6/18/2014 6:33:31 PM by Mary from Colorado
    • Answer The fabric is heavily coated and I imagine they would protect against nettles going THROUGH the fabric. However, if you walked through nettles and picked some up on the pants and then rubbed your hands or arms over them, I think you would get stung.
