What I love about these shoes (and most Keens really) is that they have great arche support. This will be my 4th pair of Keens and I can't get enough of them. Also, when I tried on the Newports at the store, my pinky toe stuck out through a side slat. The sales lady informed me that they designed the Venice shoe specifically because some people were having that same problem with the Newports. I tried them on in the store and was hooked. The Venice have more open breathing room and look just as great (if not better) than the Newports. I'm just glad I checked here first and didn't spend [$] like I would have in the store!

I used these sandals while kayaking. Pretty comfortable and prevented my feet from falling asleep while pressing against kayak foot pegs.

Not great for walking any distance because my feet slid around in them a bit as a result of the soles of my feet sweating against the plastic, combined with the fact that they are a bit wide. Also you have to take them off every now and then to empty out the sand and pebbles that collect in them.

Great for protecting feet from rocks and debris when doing a beach or river launch. They also dry pretty fast.

However, after one season of frequent use, the bottom layer of the soles, in both sandals, began to split--kind of like a piece of bread being peeled off a sandwich--to the point where they are only attached under the ball of the foot and the sole is flopping around. I supposed I could try gluing them with a marine-type glue--which is what I would have thought Keen would have done when they made them. Despite being marketed as a water shoe, obviously there was something not quite waterproof used in the manufacturing of the sole.
    • Best Uses: Beach, Outdoors
    • Cons: Not breathable, Sole split apart

    • Pros: Comfortable, Cute

Cute shoe, but does run half a size to small, so be sure to order 1/2 size larger.

I have a 5 yr old pair of Keens that I love. Have worn them everywhere and they look it! I wanted a new pair, but just got them and the whole construction of the shoe is about 1/2 size smaller than my old pair. Very disappointed! Especially since STP doesn't seem to have any larger sizes. Am sending back the size 6. Guess that will teach me to buy shoes on-line. ugh!

this shoe fit perfectly, without chafing. I need a wider toe box area, in general, and wasn't disappointed. Lightweight, but also well-made, sturdy = a nice combination!
