I had hoped that these socks would be warm enough to wear in bed without another pair of socks under them. Although they aren't as toasty as I'd like, they run big and I can easily wear socks under them. Since they come up over my ankle, it is also very easy to put my slippers on while wearing them. Also they stay relatively clean and don't pick up pet hair.

They keep your feet warm, but not too hot. They are perfect for a day off, sitting by the fire having a cup of tea!

The only complaint is that they can be difficult to put on since the structure is not so flexible (the seams hold tight) - so pulling them on damp skin (like when you get out of boating on a chilly day) is difficult.
