Well, it is 16 degrees here this morning, and only 55 F. in my living room, where my bathrobe is over this shirt and matching long pants. Actually long enough (I'm 6'2"), incredibly warm, and seems to wick really well...I can sleep in these with a thin poly layer underneath and not wake up sweaty. ...

This is an excellent shirt IF you receive one where the 'waffle weave' is on the INSIDE, facing the wearer's skin. If the waffle weave is on the outside, the ability to wick perspiration is greatly diminished. When I ordered two years ago, one each of the order was in this state. As I had waited so long before opening the second 'wrongly' made shirt, I just turn it inside out. As the Wickers line is used as baselayer for my work, I don't need to impress anyone with style. Aside from this quirk, I recommend ALL the Wickers base layer gear from STP, and have used it for at least 10 years now.
I bought the tan color Wickers Long Underwear Shirt - Mock Zip, Long Sleeve (For Tall Men) and it is EXACTLY like the picture shows (ribbed-like texture). I did not buy the taupe color so I can't help you there, but the tan is extremely comfortable and warm. So much so, I'm buying more...

The Blue and light tan, have this bumpy looking texture on them. They are great shirts, my Big Guy loves them. We both recommend them. Hope that helps answer your question

The more brown of the two has a waffle fabric texture (which I like a great deal -- it doesn't feel synthetic). Enjoy.

the tan color in the picture is 93% polyester and 7% spandex. It has small window pane chex in the fabric. very warm.

32 and 3/4" from the seam where the neck meets the shoulders to the bottom.

My tall men's large measures just over 33" from the neck seam to the hem, without stretching the fabric. Including the mock-turtle collar, it's about 35 1/2". (I believe mine is the Comfortrel version, not the Thermax, tho' I'm not entirely sure about the difference between the fabrics.)
