I don't hunt. I do live in a cold weather area. These are PERFECT for staying toasty warm both in the house (without slippers) or walking to work or riding my bike in 15 degree weather. Yes, even on my bike, when the wind cuts through sneakers, these keep my feet snug and tucked by the fire. I can't... Read More

I was looking for extra-thick, extra-warm socks and these definitely fit the description. I use them at night inside sleeping bag/tent to keep my feet warm and they are great. They are so thick that I can't wear them with any of my boots but for my purpose I am very pleased with the purchase.

Good quality and warm. I ordered them for my sons and they might run a little small.

Excellent socks. Very soft and lots of cushion.

I couldn't find any reason that these would be seconds. They aren't as thick as their expedition series I own but couldn't beat the low price.

Bought these for my husband (and another similar pair for myself) and they are wonderful. We both love SmartWool socks period. These particular ones will be used for hunting. The description is accurate. You will want to be sure your boots have some extra room as these socks are very thick. You won't be disappointed!
