As stated, I'm a minimalist when camping out of my kayak, but who doesn't like comfort whenever possible? I purchased this for making my sleeping bag more compact when packing it into my kayak. I not only fit my sleeping bag in this size Lg cmp.sack, I also fit a travel pillow in as well. First time...

Overall, this is a solid product. It compresses well and easily. None of the four straps slip. I don't believe this product is waterproof, and I haven't read anything stating whether it is or isn't. The large size is exactly what is says... large. This compression sack is far too large for most backpacking sleeping bags, and will likely not fit in the sleeping bag compartment of any hiking pack even when fully compressed. If you're using it for anything but hiking, though, this product will tighten up whatever you want into a ball about the size of a basketball. My only complaint would be that after the four straps are tightened completely, there is nowhere to easily tuck the loose strap leftovers, and they just kind of flop around. I own the medium size as well, and this problem persists with that size as well.

bought the echo lake -20 synthetic bag and fits spot on!, good quality, decent material stitching etc... wish Sierra stocked the XL... want to get the alps bigger sleeping bag... know these are quality.
The stuff sack has four straps, it will compress down pretty well depending on what type of bag you are putting in it. I have a very large synthetic down bag that I can compress down to a normal size sack.

That is incorrect answer.
This sack has 4 pulls. I packed my sleeping bags into them last night for this weekend. I have 3 of these.

hey I have a -20 alps long and it barely fits in a granite gear 2xl - 50L bag...my -20 is 7lb 14oz. so to answer your question, probably not, plus my wife has a 0 alps long and it barely fits in the alps medium bag.
alps doesn't make a bag big enough even the XL and it wont fit...I have tried it.
