I wore them walking on the streets, on snorkeling trips and boat rides as well as while at the beaches in the FL Keys in 2011, walking and around water sports in the Yellowstone area in 2012 and really wore them a lot the past two weeks in Hawaii while we went to beach after beach as well as inland walking and over some rough lava areas near the volcano. They are good support for walking and especially nice because of all the different adjustable Velcro when you have hard to fit feet like mine. I love these shoes and came on line to find a back up pair but am sad to see they have been discontinued.

Being a hairdresser, I'm always on the lookout for cute, comfortable shoes for my off time. These I took to Disney on a recent trip and they were fabulous!

Answer A US size 8 is equivalent to an Aus women's 6.5. Autralian sizes are a size and a half smaller than the US size for women's shoes. I'd check to see if you tried on a US 8 as Teva is US sizing.

Answer The heel height is roughly 1.5"

Answer the outside heel measurement on mine is 1 and 1/4 inch and under the front strap is about 3/4 inch. the foot bed has a depression for the heel and great heel cushioning. I don't really notice that my heel has any elevation. hope that helps

Answer These run true to size. It depends what sort of shoe you are referring to, if it's a running/tennis shoe go with that size.

Answer I normally wear a 9 1/2 boot and an 8 1/2 shoe. I bought an 8 in the open toed Toachi because my 2 pairs of toe-guard Toachi's were 8's (though my toe touches the front). The opened toed Toachi seems a little short in an 8, but I will keep them as my feet are very narrow, and I don't think an 8 1/2 would work for me. If you have M width feet, you would probably want an 8 1/2.

Answer I'd choose the shoe size. The size 8 length is just right for me, and I wear an 8 in almost every other shoe. The width is quite adjustable.
