I have two of these skirts. Great quality and the bottom flare gives it a nice sass. I'm a size 10 most of the time (except Eddie Bauer and Patagonia where I'm an 8) but the 8 in this skirt fits perfectly. Highly recommend ordering one size down.

I had bought a similar skirt by Royal Robbins several years ago after I had my baby but when I lost the weight I needed a smaller size. As usual I am not disappointed with Royal Robbins. Size is spot on, sits nicely a bit above the hips. the fabric is comfortable and the length is perfect for anything from hiking to meetings. The waist has a mesh lining which is nice and cool in the summer and keeps the quick dry fabric from clinging to your skin. LOVE IT! I have my favorite skirt back!

Probably on account of my matronly build, and the fact that I am high waisted, the waist on this skirt tends to travel up which doesn't leave the length I prefer. Oh well, I just hitch it down and carry on. It packs well, is relatively quiet in the "swish" area, and is fun to wear. I am 5'7", wear between a 14 and a 16, and bought the 16 which means that when it stretches a bit, it is on the big side.

but it is not for me. As advised by other reviewers, I ordered a size down., and it was the right fit. But I did not like the stiffness of the fabric. I am sure it would make someone a nice travel skirt, but I did not care for it.

I am thin with a small waist and larger hips, usually wear a 4 or 6. I ordered the 6 which fit loosely in the hips (I intended to wear leggings underneath it on the river), but the waist was about 3 inches too large. If I order the 4 the hips will be too tight and the waist still too large. Other than that it was cute with some nice pockets.

I can confirm the advice of a previous reviewer that size 6 is right for a 5'2" woman, with a 30-31 inch waist and 38 inch hips. Waist is a little loose, hips are snug but not too tight. Length comes just over the tops of my knees. Fabric seems sturdy and skirt appears well-made.

This is a summer skirt which I bought in the winter, so I haven't worn it yet except for trying it on to check the fit and style.

Expected pros: A slim-fitting, short (but not too-short) skirt which should be both flattering and cool for summer.
A huge plus, and the design element which sets this skirt apart: The ruffle at the bottom provides freedom of movement and a little extra coverage when I sit or bend. This will make it easier to wear than skirts which are the same length, but slim all the way to the hem -- which become too revealing for my taste when I sit down, cross my legs, or stoop.

Possible cons: Because of the snug fit through the hips, carrying anything thicker than a credit card or folding money in the top two pockets may create unsightly bulges. I plan to try carrying keys and/or change in the third pocket, located in the ruffle.....or, I might just carry a purse.
