I love this shirt. It protects me from the sun and keeps me cool. It's great for travel. It's very light and dries quickly. A medium fits me well. I can wear the shirt either tucked into pants or out and both ways look good. I'm about 5' 3'' tall and weigh about 125 pounds.

I have this shirt in li... Read More

This is my second one. I love hiking in these, even and especially in the heat. Keeps me from getting sunburned and bite free when the mosquitos are out. Hiked in Ut at around 100 degrees and didn't feel too hot.

I'm wearing a Columbia xs I bought near Yellowstone three years ago. It's roomy. Loved the exofficio in small I bought last year on stp so much I bought two more. Bought new Columbia and exofficio this week via this site. One Columbia small was too small, the other just right. This exofficio I ordered in medium (because I read the reviews) and it's too tight. Pretty hard to follow unless you follow the reviews. I'm 5'7", 127 with strong arms. Thanks to everyone for comments. I didn't like this enough to reorder a large.

Slightly lighter pink than it appears on my screen, more like a rosy mauve. Sleeves roll up. Good arm coverage and pockets over the chest.

I got a shirt like this last year and loved it, so I ordered two more in different colors. This year's version is an entire size smaller! I ordered the same size, a Medium to fit 8-10 (I am usually an 8) but I couldn't even get these buttoned in front, and the sleeves were 2 inches short (I am only 5'5" and sleeves are usually long on me.) The sleeves are also very narrow and the back yoke is too tight, which won't work at all when I'm pulling lines on a boat underway. The larger sizes are already sold out, so I can't reorder. VERY disappointed!

I am planning a Rim2rim hike this summer and needed a cool, comfortable, UV blocking shirt and this one fit the bill. I am small (5'10" and 125 pounds-so long and lanky) and after reading other reviews on sizing, ordered a medium. It fits well, I have enough room in my shoulder area and the shirt is so light weight and cool it feels like I am not even wearing it. Definitely going to help me during my hike through the Canyon.

  • Question “Does this shirt have vents?”

Asked on 5/19/2015 9:53:21 PM by Jean the hiker from Colorado
    • Answer Yes in the upper back but the venting isn't "open"- there's a sewn area affixed in the middle of the shoulders, so the venting isn't completely open.

    • Answer The white ExOfficio shirt I purchased is true to size. I wear a size 14-16 t shirt, depending on the maker of the shirt. I am short waisted and usually a size 14 will do but I have noticed that t shirts or blouses will be tight around the bust area. I wear a size 38 bra, I am 5'4" and 175 lbs if that helps. At any rate, I also do not like form fitting clothes especially in blouses I use for travel and don't like having to wear safety pins around the buttons. This shirt fit nicely around the arms, waist, with plenty of room in the chest and hip area. I have worn it many times and have not had any problems with the buttons coming undone.

    • Answer I have a LARGE and it fits me perfectly. As far as I'm concerned, it runs true to size. I always wear size large in shirts (12-14). I love it and may buy one or two more in different colors.

    • Answer I don't know the measurements but there is ample room. These are rather loose fitting shirts.

    • Answer Hello, L Squared! Sorry for the delay but I got my house back. I measured 23 inches around the armpit. The shoulder and sleeves are much bigger as the sleeves puff up a bit but not too much -- the sleeves still iron flat. Hope this helps!

  • Question “How sheer is the white color?”

Asked on 4/27/2010 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from Unknown
    • Answer It is not a sheer material though it is a thinner material that's nice to stay cool with. Often times a tank top is favored to be worn under it for layering.

Answered on 2/2/2010 12:00:00 AM by Customer Care from Sierra Trading Post
    • Answer I think it may run a little on the smaller side. On the other hand, I prefer things to be comfortable and loose! I am in the 14-range, and this shirt is a perfect (loose and comfortable) fit for me.

    • Answer Suggest that you order a size up as I usually wear an XS (I'm a petite 2) and returned it for a S and the S fit better around the bust.
