These are awesome socks. Just used them out first day on the slopes. One below at the top and my feet did not get cold. Stretchy and comfy over my large skier calves. Light padding really did seem to reduce boot bang. Will be ordering more.

I have several pairs of SmartWool socks, but these are my favorites! I bought them for an upcoming ski trip, but ended up wearing them around the house as the weather gets cooler. They have great cushion on the soles and are nice and toasty. I bought a Small, which I was a little concerned would be too small for my 8.5 size feet, but they fit perfectly! I went back and bought three more pairs--another for me and two for stocking stuffers.

  • Question “Do socks have "irregular" printed on them? Want to give as presents.”

Asked on 5/23/2012 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from Unknown
    • Answer These socks are 2nds but do not have IRR printed on them. There is a small round sticker on some of the packages that does have IRR on it.

  • Question “Are these socks seconds? Why?”

Asked on 12/4/2009 12:00:00 AM by Shirley from Little Rock, AR
    • Answer Yes. They are seconds. Barely perceptible blemishes.
Answered on 12/6/2009 12:00:00 AM by Customer Care from Sierra Trading Post
    • Answer The only detectable problem I found on the three different pairs I ordered was that on one sock the front cushioning section was skewed to one side and not set squarely on the shin as in the picture. Another friend mentioned that the "SmartWool" lettering was a bit messed up on the pair of seconds he ordered.
