I love this water bottle! I like how you can just grab the bottle, put it to your mouth and sqeeze! No more struggling to get the top off!

Have two of them now, I really like the way they are made. Plus they make a great sprinkler at the end of a long hot ride. Get one and you will see what I mean.

Tru Taste feature is legit! After exposure to many hours in the sun, hot car or fanny pack, the contents do not pick up the off taste of less expensive bottles. Nothing worse than having your drink taste like it has spent a few days in a garden hose. Bottle seems to rinse well, and does not retain the flavor of a previous beverage either.

I use it for bicycle riding. The mouth is easy for drink. I like it.

Bought two. These are a great improvement over the two that I was using, branded from an national chain of bike stores. The water volume with each squeeze is much greater, so I end up drinking more water per ride with them.

I have used these near daily for years and have never had a problem with them leaking.

  • Question “Does this bottle leave a plastic taste in water?”
Asked on 7/1/2012 12:00:00 AM by June from Unknown
    • Answer The CamelBak Podium Water Bottle is a relatively soft plastic that is easy to grip and relatively easy to squeeze in my opinion. Another benefit of this particular model is the no spill top that only allows water to flow out when you are squeezing it.|Another CamelBak product you may consider is the "Better Bottle" Item #2110G. It has a mouth piece that you bite and sip through a straw instead of squeezing.
Answered on 12/22/2009 12:00:00 AM by Customer Care from Sierra Trading Post
    • Answer not the softest plastic
Answered on 1/1/2010 12:00:00 AM by Biker Jim from Jersey Shore (not in THAT house!)
    • Answer It is not as soft as a plastic bag, but it is a *little* more supple than disposable tupperware/gladware. The bottle diameter is probably larger than the 2.5" in the product description. I would bet that is the diameter of the opening, but the body of the bottle is wider, maybe 3-3.5". I had to buy one for my 2-1/2 year old son so that he would quit stealing mine. He has no trouble drinking juice from it. If your hands are weak, you can actually suck your drink out like a straw (as long as you tip the bottle upside down). That might help you. Good luck!

    • Answer Absolutely...this is the perfect bottle for you! Once the valve is open, all you need is a very light squeeze. If that hurts, you need only to suck on the valve and it will open up. However, the only problem I can foresee is getting the lid screwed on tightly and then switching the top nozzle from open to close. You can, however, just leave it in open position and just be mindful not to squeeze it while transporting.

    • Answer it is a sturdy plastic, but squeezes easly enough

    • Answer yes, very easy to squeeze...my 2 and 5 year old can drink from it.

    • Answer These bottles do not have particularly soft platic. They are far more squeezable than lexan bottles, but not as soft as many cycling water bottles. You may want to try a bottle by Platapus. They are totally flexible pouches with water bottle style drinking spouts that will deliver liquids via gravity or suction rather than squeezing.

  • Question “would these work on a bike holder?”
Asked on 12/6/2009 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from Unknown
    • Answer Yes. It will work in most bike holders.
Answered on 12/6/2009 12:00:00 AM by Customer Care from Sierra Trading Post
    • Answer Absolutely: I think that bike and gym equipment use were Camelbak's main design intentions for these. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit in most small import car cup holders. Such cup holders are stupidly small--if it fit in these, it wouldn't fit in bike bottle cages.
