Carhartt brand seems to be made a little on the smaller side since they do not make much in the USA any longer. Work clothing used to be made a little bigger ?

Answer If your chest size is between 46 and 48 inches while wearing a sweatshirt, you'd take an XL in the Carhartt vest. If your chest measures 50 to 52 inches, you'd take a 2XL.
