I don't like boxers because they offer no support..

I don't like briefs because they are too tight...

I don't like cotton because it holds moisture...

These seem to be a best of all worlds solution!

A little pricy in my opinion unless you take advantge of coupons and/or free shipping...

Too thin, and they don't stay in place.

These briefs were OK. Nothing great, not particularly well cut. I wasn't too impressed with the breath-ability. I will continue to wear them, but I won't recommend them or order them again.

ok but not as comfortable as I thought they would be. First time buying from Sierra - very good

Light material and breathability in hot weather, good under base layer in the cold. I am careful to wash and then hang dry and the pairs that I have have lasted years. Driers are not kind to the elastic and any sorts of zippers (i.e. jeans) can snag the light material, Not damage, just little snag here and there.
Easy to travel with (2-3 pairs) and wash (hang dry) for longer hikes.

When I'm home I'm used to wearing cotton boxers for comfort. However, when I travel I prefer a fast drying fabric that I can wash in the sink at night and know it will be dry in the morning. The Terramar CoolMax briefs fit that bill nicely. They are comfortable, well constructed and fast drying. Just what I need for a long trip. Highly recommended.

    • Answer If you look at the photo of the grey model, you can see the seams running vertically. THey are the same on the reverse side plus there is a horizonal seam and it is just under 3" from the bottom if you lay the piece flat on a table.

  • Question “Do these fit similar to item number 15641? Thanks.”

Asked on 5/7/2010 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from Unknown
    • Answer These will have a similar fit to item # 15641.
Answered on 5/10/2010 12:00:00 AM by Customer Care from Sierra Trading Post
    • Answer They fit the same (i.e. a medium is still a medium). The differences are these: 1) it's made from fabric that isn't as stretchy. 2) the leg part is cut slightly higher. 3) the waistband is cut lower. This last change is the best, since in the "15641" version the waistband goes up to your bellybutton.

    • Answer I bought both and find the fit of 15641 much better. Would have bought two of 15641 over one of each.
