Great value for this coat. Definitely order one size smaller than you normally do. I'm a 39" chest and usually take a size 40. I actually ordered the tan in the fall in a size 40, and made the mistake of trying it on with a sweater on and then removing all the tags. It looks good on top of a sweater, but too big otherwise, which is a shame because it is nice to wear. With the added coupon, I couldn't resist getting one in grey, and this time I got the 38- perfect with just a shirt. The cut is a bit more constructed in the shoulders than the current trend, and a bit less tapered in the waist, but it looks classy and traditional. Sleeves may be short on some people, because they are perfect on me and I always have to shorten of the rack sport coat sleeves.
Very nice coat. Unfortunately the fit it does not conform to the STP fit guide. I am on the upper end of the 'short' sizes and this coat is 1 full inch too long at the sleeve and at least 2 inches at the waist. Also, the 40 I ordered (I did measure my chest just to make sure) was super baggy, I could fit a full fist under the top button and it was still loose. I won't be exchanging, as the 'short' size is still much too long, but if you can find the correct size get this coat - it's soft, very nice looking, and well made.

The material is very nice, and the look of the jacket would be great for someone for whom the cut is appropriate - not for a man who is stocky or
has a prominent belly. This particular garment could not be worn unbuttoned, as the right lapel was not sufficiently pressed - the jacket flopped sloppily when open.
Question
“what is the sleeve length (outer length from shoulder seam to wrist) and the shoulder width (seam to seam) for the size 42R and 42L and 40 R and L? The comments in the Reviews indicate that the sport coat may be a bit on the small side and I'd like to avoid having to return for size.”
